hey from Perth Australia

Thread Starter
so i am new here... obviously
i am a young adult recently been in an assault by 3 guys with cricket bats
so in my injured time off i have built a computer ... and manage to fill my room up with a large collection of computer parts
this computer and parts are whats keeping me from going insane ha-ha well whilst im not able to work anyways
but to the point i originally started off with

ASROCK Z77 EXTREME-4 - MICRO ATX :/
I7 2600K 3.4MHZ - 4.0MHZ WITH TURBO BOOST
2 KINGSTON 2GB RAM
1 KINGSTON 8GB RAM
1 KINGSTON 4GB RAM
1 MANLI GTX 275
1 WD GREEN 3TB HDD
1 WD BLACK1.5TB HDD
COOLER MASTER N300

after all that i have got bored with the original build and now updated the motherboard and case now need a new psu and better ram
the current build is now as following

GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UP7
I7 2600K 3.4MHZ - 4.0MHZ WITH TURBO BOOST STILL
2 KINGSTON 2GB RAM
1 KINGSTON 8GB RAM
1 KINGSTON 4GB RAM
2 GTX 275
1 WD GREEN 3TB HDD
1 WD BLACK1.5TB HDD
OBSIDIAN 750D CASE

i want to get more into the cooling part and try water-cooling after i upgrade my psu as at the moment i have unplugged my gpu's because i only have a corsair 430 watt psu powering everything but as with the medical stuff is going not being able to work and make money puts things on hold look forward to having a chat with you guys smile.gif any help or advice would be muchly appreciated

HEY cheers man smile.gif my first reply biggrin.gif great to be here

yea i know i gotta upgrade the psu but some of the threads on here have got me thinking of what size psu as ive tried some of the online calculators and stuff but they all just say 1000watt + so not entirely sure what to go with yet

its between an online calculators or people with experience

but then there is also the price :/ as i am unable to work at the moment the lowest price would be ideal but according to OC3D i think it was its better to put more $ into a good quality psu

a good 650-750w psu should be enough to handle your setup if your not overvolting the cards smile.gif
