List of games I've played but haven't beaten before. Which should I go back to?

Here's the list:

Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Assassin's Creed Revelations - I couldn't get into this game for some reason. Maybe it's because I went into it straight after AC2 and ACB, but I thought this game was terrible compared to the prior.
The Basement Collection
The Binding of Issac
Bioshock Infinite - Playing this currently
Borderlands - Couldn't get into it.
Borderlands 2 - Same
Cave Story+
Closure
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 Uprising
Crysis Maximum Edition - Haven't tried.
Darksiders - Played for a bit and thought it was enjoyable, but I played other games and uninstalled it.
Darksiders 2
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Hear good things about it, only played for an hour. Maybe I'll give it another try?
Dragon Age Origins - Ultimate Edition - Just bought, currently playing with Infinite.
Drakensang
Dungeon Defenders
Skyrim - I actually played this game a lot. But part of me never progressing too far though the story was my addiction to mods. I got as far as learning that I'm the dragon born or something.
Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon - Played for a bit didn't enjoy the game compared to FC3.
GTA 3 - Played a lot, never beat it. Love it.
Vice City - Same as above.
San Andreas - Same as above.
Half Life 2 (and Episode 1 & 2) - Currently playing it's in rotation.
Hitman Codename 47 - Game is too buggy to enjoy.
Hitman 2 Silent Assassin - Above
Hitman Blood Money - This game is alright, but couldn't get into it. Hitman Absolution is one of my favorite games I played though.
Just Cause 2 - Looks fun, never tried.
Legend of Grimrock - Never played.
Max Payne - Played for a few hours the other day pretty difficult. I'll try and finish it.
Max Payne 2
Max Payne 3
Medal of Honor - Eh...FPS stories...Is it worth time?
Mirror's Edge - Hear good things never tried.
Offspring Fling!
Portal 2 - I loved the first, but could never finish the second because of my short attention span.
Richochet
Risen
Risen 2
Sacred 2 Gold
Sacred Citadel
Saints Row 2 - Too buggy.
Serious Sam 3 BFE
The Entire Tomb Raider Series besides the newest - Lots to play...xD Just haven't gotten to it. Thought the latest was really good.

So...what games should I retry? Let me know. Hopefully you guys can help me narrow down the games I need to finish. xD thumb.gif

I recommend going back to these.

- Amnesia: The Dark Descent - One of the best horror games ever made, richly atmospheric and it has a very good story
- Dragon Age: Origins - One of the best, most ambitious, most complete games and RPGs out there, which is explained to some extent here. It takes no less than six playthroughs to experience everything it has to offer, and each one should be substantially different.
- Skyrim with these mods, since it's just an endless game with more content than virtually any other
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut is on Steam and you can get it for a discount, it has revamped boss fights since they were generic and stupid before. This is one of the best games out there, having one of the better thought-provoking stories, such a unique and impeccably detailed world with so much to see and do, be sure to explore all of the hubs from top to bottom since the amount of detail is far greater than just about any other game.
- Half Life 2 and the episodes, preferably with Cinematic Mod
- Crysis Maximum Edition - Crysis is fun, Warhead is meh but give it a try anyway
- Hitman: Blood Money - Very strange that you loved Absolution but didn't like Blood Money, since according to everyone who has thoroughly played both, Absolution is significantly inferior in every way aside from graphics. I can't confirm this, but even the more intelligent and clairvoyant gamers I know say this is true so I'm sure it is.

It looks like you're playing a bunch of games at once. I recommend avoiding this for single player games, particularly the ones listed above except for Skyrim/HL2/Crysis/Hitman, since they're heavily story driven and atmospheric, and going back and fourth between a bunch of games can hurt your immersion and cause you to forget details. The most I have in my "rotation" is two single player games at once, though I prefer to keep it to one and give that game my full attention so I can get the most out of it. Of course, this only applies to heavily detailed masterpieces. When playing DA:O or Deus Ex: HR, they really deserve (and arguably need) full attention.

Start at the linear games and work your way down to the sandbox games like skyrim, saints row 3, sacred 2, and borderlands 2. You'll probably have alot more fun if you save the sandboxy games for last, I tend to play my games in a similar order, and I still had fun with those games that were linear, like Bioshock Infinite and Metro last light. Sandbox games give you a long term goal to work towards though, such as finishing side quests in skyrim, or finding symbols and earning badass tokens in borderlands 2.

Nope. tongue.gif

Also to the other guy, I generally found Hitman Absolution to be a 10/10 game for me. I loved it.

dragon age origins, just because 1 playthrough isnt enough to try even half of the options in every / any aspect of the game. 1 playthrough should not be the goal if you like the game.

But I'm just curious, from the list I see quite a few of titles that you said you "couldnt get into", but have the sequels f them. How did that happen?

Because I figured I'd give the sequels a try, maybe they'd impress me. That, and when an AAA title is on sale at $10 or under, I'll buy it. Usually.
