pull the battery on the mobo before doing a cpu swap.. let sit for 30 min
will need to go into bios and reset clock and anything else u have previously changed. I have found this to be of great help on upgrading 775 systems... even the old 478..
I have a old p4 3.0ghz 800mhz fsb with 4gb ddr2 and a NVidia 8400gt pci-e on a biostar mobo I got new last year to build a throwback.. and put the spare parts to use.. runs windows 7 ult 32bit like a champ for my car pc..(not gonna be doing any rendering tho lol)Edited by GregoryD - 3/24/14 at 4:50pm
