um what?

What um what?

BF2142 used the Frostbite 2 Engine...now days BF4 is using Frostbite3...but even the upgrades to Frostbite2 in BF3 would have make the walker more fun. Those upgrades were never made to BF2142...probably would have involved a lot of work so it is understandable.

This is almost as good and refreshing BF2142...almost...they still need to find a way to add Walkers. I think it is kind of dumb...if they can find a way for soldier to care about steaming the enemies flag in BF3 they should be able to have a new experimental vehicle get introduced and bring back the Walker. It would be so awesome with the better interaction with the environment...I bet they could make it kick down walls and step over more objects and such. The limitation by the older Frostbite engine in BF2142 reduced the effectiveness of it.

You are talking about BF2143^..

I really don't see the problem everyone is going on... & on.. & on about. I have been playing BF series since BF1942, & have never stopped playing. Me & my long-time friends (of over 30 years) still play BF nearly every other night. FOr 12+ years.

What are all these problem you people keep say you are having..? The only problem with BF right now is hackers. Obviously there was some release pains and I didn't get credit for some 20 games I played, & other minor bugs that no longer exist. So what is the problems people keep having with BF4..?

I built 7 new Rigs this past October (all for BF4), nobody in my clan is experiencing Major glitches or problems.. other than connectivity issues and server drops. But.. not at a rate significantly higher than BF3, BFBC2, etc.

Hardware? Ping greater than 40? What EXACTLY is the problem everyone keeps saying they are having..?

I have one problem when I play, constant hackers..

Still waiting on Battlerecorder so the community can police themselves, revealing PunkBuster for the scam it is.

Oh really? I was rembering a big deal when BF2142 about its new engine and could of sworn it was Frostbite 2...must not have remembered right. It's been a while.

but then the walkers probably stand to gain an even larger amount if they were reintroduced into Frostbite 3. I think any chance of a BF3142 is mighty low...so the best I can bring myself to hope for is for a walker to appear in BF4. I think we could built one with modern technology...or at least there is enough potential to have one get into a game.

I can't really say anything else about this that hasn't already been said. There is obviously no other industry on this planet that a company could get away with the stuff that EA/DICE pulls and still stay in business. Giving a 'client' (us, the gamers) a completion date for something only to pull the rug out from under them at the final minute? Unreal. They knew long before that they had problems. Do they just get major joy out of making people unhappy? It seems they try their best at every opportunity to make people upset. Rather than a heads up which would have softened the blow, they time the announcement such that they will induce maximum rage from their fan base.

I just don't get it. This game, man, this game. It has tested me to my limits. I pretty much have thousands of dollars invested in computer hardware, have made it my one main hobby in life, etc. etc. exclusively for Battlefield. I really don't play any other games to speak of. I'll dabble here and there, but it's primarily all Battlefield. BF4 has tested me for all I'm worth. It has made me contemplate selling thousands of dollars worth of computers and finding a new hobby in life all together. If this is the way the gaming industry is going to be then it is time for me to move on because their stunts with BF4 have flat been unacceptable to me. They have, at the very least, ensured that I never pre-order another game, of any brand, in the rest of this lifetime.

That happens all the time haha... see for reference any large Government project.

Also custom designed software projects almost always go over time tongue.gif

Source that they knew about the blocking bug long before?

You only have yourself to blame for investing so much money ha. That's no one elses fault!

Not saying the delay is good or acceptable, just that what you're saying is wrong smile.gif

Common sense. My brain. Lack of ignorance. Complete loss of trust in any word that comes from DICE. Any of the above. They thought they could get it fixed, but couldn't, so they had to bite the bullet and pull the plug last minute.

I didn't say it was anyone else's fault. I used it as an avenue to display how much I have enjoyed this series, how much I have invested in this series as a result of the enjoyment, and that finding a new hobby all together is how upset I have become over this whole Battlefield 4 thing despite how much I've enjoyed the series in the past. A slight bit of reading comprehension would have yielded that result for you.

But yea, keep kicking on someone while they're down why don't ya? Cool guy, you are. rolleyes.gif

I agree with you guys in saying that the game isn't a complete fail. BF4 has serious potential if they can cut down on the bugs. The game is still playable and fun. I still play every day and enjoy it overall. The thing is, I have a hard time believing you don't see the bugs in the game. Currently the killcam doesn't work at all; half the time it says your own teammate kills you. Obviously that doesn't affect the actual gameplay, but it has really gotten on my nerves since they still haven't fixed it. Also, I can't name how many times I've ran behind cover but still died or how many times I've shot someone point blank with a shotgun without any damage to the enemy. The registry in the game is hit or miss and I get killed through walls all the time. Fix your game DICE/EA...
