Ah ok, so you are guessing... you don't actually know smile.gif

But yea, keep kicking on someone while they're down why don't ya? Cool guy, you are. rolleyes.gif

I know what you mean, but still, you can't blame anyone else for what you invested. Never expect anything... never assume anything.

Also, if you're down about a video game... well, there are bigger problems for you!

I still play every day and enjoy it overall. The thing is, I have a hard time believing you don't see the bugs in the game. Currently the killcam doesn't work at all; half the time it says your own teammate kills you. Obviously that doesn't affect the actual gameplay, but it has really gotten on my nerves since they still haven't fixed it. Also, I can't name how many times I've ran behind cover but still died or how many times I've shot someone point blank with a shotgun without any damage to the enemy. The registry in the game is hit or miss and I get killed through walls all the time. Fix your game DICE/EA...

Yep, it has some real potential. I've been lucky enough to avoid all major bugs... but i'd love to see it polished!

The way it was released was unacceptable!

I would actually argue it's quite opposite. Chances are, if you are not a good player, you don't notice the "netcode" problems that people talk about. If you are a good player, then chances are you're going to notice the errors by a few milliseconds here and a few milliseconds there because milliseconds are the difference between life and death for you. For a bad player, a few milliseconds here and there aren't really going to matter. A less skilled player won't notice hit detection issues as much because they can't hit people/vehicles normally. A less skilled player isn't going to notice dying behind cover as much because he/she probably doesn't use cover religiously like a skilled player will.

I don't know how anyone can say there aren't issues. They're beyond well documented.

Nah, didn't hear anything on an ETA.

Do people really take holiday days to play a computer game? redface.gif

Would have liked to play it tonight though! Guess back to other maps for the time being heh tongue.gif

Just a few off the top of my head.

Netcode issues have been around since 1942. I remember it being a PITA playing Stalingrad on 64 heh.

Not sure what you expected, BF games have always been ropey in that respect... probably due to the way they push the envelope in other areas.

Taking the day off for a game release or update is pretty common I think. I've done it a few times...heck, I did it for a couple new releases of non-gaming software.

I mean what is wrong with it? People take a day off of work to go sit on a beach and stare at the water or go to a concert or whatever else they might enjoy. If you enjoy games, why not take a day off for that as well if you have the vacation time? You don't typically have to give a reason for vacation requests at most places. If my boss ever actually asked why I was taking vacation I would probably come back with a story about getting a medical procedure performed on my colon or something and that would be the end of that policy.

Always seems like a bad idea.

Nothing ever works on the first day... provided it actually shipped on time.

Pretty much every steam release comes about 6-7 hours after the stated release time tongue.gif

I expected at least as good as BF3 (which wasn't great, but seems so now). It is no where near. Given their discussions on competitive this and that prior to release, I actually expected it to be quite a bit sharper and more polished than BF3.

And anyone who's been around for a few years will know that release dates slip, bugs exist and that in general, day of release for a multiplayer game is a mess. It's always the case/

I'll give you this man, you must not have much to do today. That first quote wasn't suppose to get posted and it was in the post for 30 seconds. You are all over anyone who comments in this thread, instantly. Rawr.
