The 450D was the last piece of the puzzle for the new Obsidian family ID we launched last year with the 900D, 350D, 250D, and 750D. We now have all form factors covered and a very strong lineup.

Which means, eventually, we have to kill all those products. Nothing lives forever. I already have the successor to the 450D in my head, though it's years and years away.

But when I post a thread on the case forum asking "How would you change the Obsidian xx0D..." you'll know we're about halfway into the dev cycle on a replacement.

Hmm, so I guess we're a long way from any changes. Good to know.

The X-Flow version doesn't work, it's too long.

I guess theres always the option for this lil guy if we wanted to go with a thicker rad

I really like to see Corsair take a modular approach with the Obsidian line. I have a Corsair 800d and a Corsair 550d and really like both but I use a Cooler Master Cosmos 2 for my main gaming rig mainly because it was different from the conventional. It's a pita when it comes to radiator placement but it's distinctive. Exactly what the Corsair 800d was when it day viewed. This might sound crazy but I'd like to have a case in the shape of a obelisk . It could range from mini-atx to full tower with the use of additional modular sections. And have the power light at the top of the obelisk in the shape of the all seeing eye like seen on the pyramid on the dollar bill . I'm just throwing something out there.

One thing I really love about this case is how the window doesn't extend over the PSU.

1) that's the point of releasing a whole line of products (especially cases), they have the same looks, function, feature set.

2) every company in this business does this.

I imagine the 450D isn't the only case to have much better temps than those "silence optimized" cases as they all suck for temps. that's their goal, acoustics over thermals.
