[CL] Corsair Obsidian 450D is now out and its pretty awesome - Page 3

Awesome. Literally just got done building a 350D last week. Had to get a mATX board because I wasn't comfortable with how big the 750D is. Now this comes along frown.gif

The RM750 is 180mm long and it is already overlapping the mounting holes... No standard length PSU will enable a 240mm rad at the bottom...

That is what I thought.
Nothing wrong with the case. But it says 240 in the bottom.
But that can only be done if the PSU is mounted somewhere else. At least it looks like that to me.

I really like this case.

Since the front panel is removable, can we get a solid front panel option as an accessory? The 450D is pretty much exactly what I was hoping Corsair would produce (a mid-tower full atx 350/750D), minus the front mesh.

that's too much bigger. there's the 500R size and then there's the 750D and Switch 810 range, and a whole lot that falls in between. like the bottom dust cover and 360 rad support though. nice touches.

Ok this is becoming silly, just when I find two other compact Corsair chassis and spend so much time to research them and figure out where I'm going to place every little niggly bit (Good Tom) dammit George comes out with something even better, AHHHHHHHH.

Now Corsair owns 77.8% of the chassis market share and I do believe they deserve it, George must be breaking ground on his 2nd home. biggrin.gif

All I can say is Corsair you better give us the sweetest looking DDR4 memory modules on the planet, with so many options including the interchangeable Red, Blue, Black, White heat sinks that were promised and never delivered with Dominator Platinum way back at Computex 2012, along with interchangeable RGB LED strips for those of us that love them.

And how about the AX860 and AX1000, and AX1200* (Seasonic-Based) Titanium rated PSUs? This time with informative system software just in time for Haswell-E. smile.gif

*We all know Seasonic is producing a 1200watt silent Titanium PSU with a Sanyo-Denki superfan profile, oh that's gonna be a beauty.

Believe it or not we don't own a huge chunk of the case market. Cooler Master, Thermaltake, etc, are still the big guys depending on the region. NZXT is doing pretty well too.

We're gaining, though.

And I live in the Bay Area, I can't even afford my 1st home yet! Haha...

So I don't suppose anyone knows if there is ample room in this case between the motherboard and the top vent to use an ASUS board. The 400R (and many other cases) do not give enough room for a top radiator and fans. The CPU power plug always gets in the way.

yea there is if it can fit the H105 easily. this case seems like a much taller 300R with Obsidian exterior. height is fine. it's the length and width on this where it starts to feel tight.
