Come out to roughly 1500watts

That would be well beyond 1500W.

4x 290X is like 1200W from the wall, on stock! add 4930K you get like + 150W, so everything you pointed, is barley enough for stock build.

Yeah.. but that would still fall far short of 3kw. A pair of 1kw PSU's would be plenty for that build I think.

That's assuming 100% load which you'll almost never see, especially with 4x 290x's UNLESS you're mining. If you're just building a monster gaming rig, this should do the trick.

2x2690 v2, 130W each,
2x295x2 (or ARES III) thats 500-575W each
12x3,5" HDD, 4-6 SSDs, 2 optical drives
4 Monarch Cards, at least 300W each, watercooling, pumps fans, controllers,
64GB ram, all PCI slots of the Z9PED8WS occupied, with sound card, ARECA card, splitter cards, wifi card, etc

One could probably squeeze in a five card R9 290 mining rig with it or five 6 card 750 Ti mining rigs (if at 40 watt TDP). That is just insane.

Thats overkill for the sake of it, at least my example was more reasonable

Also chainning the psu's you have redundancy and also tbe ability to split the load

Holy Fu.., the watercooled model is 650W, now im screwed !

You see my point ? 1500 is not enough, what i need is 2kW per PSU. PErhaps the NEX 1500 EVGA Succesor delivers that !

when you overvolt speciality cards the wattage goes up exponentially. with 2 kingpins and a 4960x all overvolted u can reach 1500w alone.
