Actually, compared to a Quadro K6000, or Tesla K40, it is pretty cheap.

TITAN is an inexpensive solution IF YOU REQUIRE FP64.

As a card for gamers, of course it is fast also, but not the best value.

'not the best value' is an understatement...

Where's the driver support or the ECC memory? What about the hardware and software support that makes this viable to Quadros and Tesla units?

Even taking those not into account, unless I am mistaken, this has the same compute as 2 Titan Blacks but at a much lower clock if that ~375W TDP is true. At my University (listed on those Nvidia slides), the guys who use Quadro, Tesla and even the original Titan themselves were telling me they will not be buying this as it makes no sense to them either. So I am just quoting straight from the scientists who people here keep saying are part of the target audience.
Certainly if you need the support and ECC, then Quadro or Tesla is the professional solution, but its also a lot more expensive.

I could see TITAN Z being used in space constrained systems, example: If you wanted 4 cards or more in one system (8 GPU's).

That's the one place I can concede this thing is ok- server rack style units filled with a bunch of these cards.

You can't expect a hardware rep that is gonna be selling these cards to be any more "outspoken" you know biggrin.gif

We can all argue whether its for supercomputing/engineering/UHD content creator or just the plain old millionaire luxury gamer all night and day long.
But if I had the means.... I would love to slap one in a Falcon Northwest Tiki.
Probably would have to mod it for an external power supply though, but it would be pretty neat to have a monster like this in a little box just a tiny bit larger than a PS4/xbox1

This is not for SFF computers. No current SFX power supply can actually push this card on top of the rest of the system.

But you don't have the means, neither I, nor the majority of people on this forum. May be there is forum for millionaire luxury gamers that we can all check out and see who is actually buying this card for gaming only.
