[TWITCH] NVIDIA unveils the Titan Z - Page 56

lol.. at those still saying the 780 was overpriced.

Alatar made a list in here of several cards in the past that were "overpriced". Go read it.

It's not cheap to make 28nm big dies. Get over it. Even AMD made their current chips smaller and it would be insane to think there was another reason.

And another thing, more "philosophical". Some of you got to get out of your shell that some companies are evil and some are saints.

Titan is overpriced but the 780 very possibly isn't.

AMD aren't saints either. They are complicit with Intel holding x86/x86-64 parents captive, practically aiding in the virtual monopoly of Intel and that is something I will not forgive as easily as titan.

Just because these high-priced, super cards exist doesn't mean I have to have one. If the statement is that even those mid-high cards are overpriced then disregard.

Your absolutely right, we don't have to have them....

But we build our machines and we build them to go fast

You weren't worried about the money when you bought your TI's you probably did it out of love for your beast (like me thumb.gif)

But the fact remains that it was a lot of money and it's going to get worse

So I'm going to continue to voice my disgust regardless

Yes, I don't have to buy it, but no-one has to listen to me either tongue.gif

Don't worry, everyone already knows what you are saying. Everything else is just a good laugh, punctuated with the obligatory drool.gif emoticon, of course tongue.gif

If I had more money then brains I'd buy 2 Titan-Z's for my rig, but I have a lack of funds right now and I'm smart enough to recognize a complete rip-off when I see it.

Already got 2x770s now so I'll be waiting for 8** or even 9** series cards before I upgrade GPU's again

Dont say that, when people said you would be better off with 2 7970's instead of a titan it was laughed at, its about pure performance i was told, you compare 2 cards against 2 cards and stuff the price. 2 of these for 6 grand will smash 2 titans, so get saving!!

The next generation of 120Hz 4K displays will need this sort of horsepower - for gaming anyway.

Not being able to justify the cost doesn't make a product a rip-off... a niche market works to someone's advantage.

If it is dual slot AND an SFX 600W PSu appears, I love them in my Fractal Array, which is slumming it with an R9 280X currently.... biggrin.gif

120hz 4k.... now there's a monstrosity.....

By the time that comes out we'll probably have 8 or even 9 series cards.....(that are worth a small country)

And the mighty Titan Z will be selling for a few hundred on ebay
