updated BIOS tonight and managed to get her to what seems like a stable 4.6ghz but the chip was getting very toasty running prime95. seems you were right about that bios update.

Thank you for the BIOS update suggestion! I did the Bios update, and followed some instructions I found on another thread that I would be happy to post later if anyone is interested. I got to 4.3 stable, almost 4.4 with 1.290 but it crashed out about 5 minutes into torture test.... I may try to jump up a little bit more in the V but for now I am happy at 4.3... smile.gif
