i would get the ws board because the workstation grade components are the highest quality. and have the highest QC, and you can make an offer lower than what he has listed, it was posted a good while ago. and i have no issue with buying stuff here, if they sold you a dud, everyone here can know about it. also they use paypal so you have that as well.

after some research the phases it doesnt seem to matter all that much for z77 boards, and the gigabyte board has a good reputation around OCN.

so the ultimately the choice is yours, if i were you i would seriously consider the ws board, but thats just me. buying new obviously has its benefits and you are able to return it if its DOA.

Last inquiry. I'm conflicted.

Currently running a P8P67 LE and a 2500k, is it worth paying ~200 dollars for a better 1155 motherboard? Yes, the 2500k is a great CPU but is it worth paying as much as an 1150 motherboard for an 1155 that is pretty much obsolete relative to Haswell and beyond? The only way I see an 1155 motherboard paying for itself is if I were upgrading to a 3570k to last me the next few years, which doesn't seem like it's a respectable upgrade from the 2500k, and I don't see the 2500k lasting me a few more years either. Does that leave me with sitting on stock 2500k for the next few months while waiting for the Haswell-E, or am I underestimating the 2500k/3570k/future of 1155 motherboard?

it is a tough choice.... i personally wouldnt underestimate the 2500k, but i certainly wouldnt spend more than $150 on upgrading. i would get a motherboard now, see how x99 is and then see if it is worth dumping a bunch of money into it. have you overclocked your 2500 yet?

I have TRIED, but without the VCORE option in the BIOS, it's really tough with just a Voltage Offset. I would overclock 4.3ghz-ish and my voltage would spike up to 1.4V+. Here in Canada, the P8Z77-V comes out to about $190 - $25 MIR (so let's say $165). Would you say that's worth it, or go cheaper?

i would go cheaper, because at that price you might as well get an 1150 board...
