Ok, so starting tonight (drunk as all hell and willing to spend some money) i am gonna build an fx-9590 monster.
build is gonna look like this:
fx-9590 CPU
GTX 660 (salvage from my current build since am upgrading to maxwell as soon as they drop)
some form of 1866+ ddr3 (thinking of going aty least 2400 for my Intel build. so again salvage)
crosshair V formula-z mobo
tx850 psu
and the case is gonna be my desk. I got mad static bags at my place so irdc about making it look nice. This is gonna be a mostly benchmarking/overclocking build, so a case would more than likely hinder my efforts when it comes to cooling the monster.
If anything is missing. please do tell. I just spent 370$ on yet another processor so yeah it might be a nice pointer XD

a drunk guy with a credit card XD

Oh. Nevermind. :) I would have known that if I had read your sig.

I'd rather see you sell it and get a really high-end 550-650W PSU. Or, 450-550W PSU if you're going to keep the video card at stock.

But your power consumption while gaming never exceeds 275-300W. With that much overkill in a PSU, your efficiency is probably always below 85% and probably dips below 80 at times.

Well, I've got a processor that's quite highly overclocked and those cards are at the end of their lives anyways, so I'm gonna either be running a pair of 770s or the equivalent 800s. Besides, I enjoy having a lot of headroom, and electricity isn't exactly something I'm short on either (as a matter of fact, French canadia sells murrca the surplus electricity it has)

But are you talking about my current build or the 9590? Cuz my current build takes about 250/GPU plus like 6 satas (opt+4x HDD+1x SSD and a need for 3 more sonce im gonna RAID0 4x seagate barracuda 3tb) and the 9590 build is gonna be a dedicated OC build which is mostly gonna be run through teamviewer since I lack an extra display.

The 9590, as listed in your original post. How heavily is it overclocked? That's a 220W CPU, so yeah...

Is 7 GHz really doable with it? What cooling would that require? Based on the way all of the other CPUs have been overclocking before this one, I wouldn't be expecting more than 6 to 6.5 GHz out of it without some exotic form of cooling and some very high core voltage.
