Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang had a "one more thing" announcement at his GTC keynote this morning, and that was news of Valve's Portal game coming to the Shield handheld.

The Tegra 4 packs a punch as far as mobile hardware goes. It will be interesting to see how the game comes out.

If anything it's a nice treat for Shield users and it's also a testament to the quality people could expect from Tegra 4.

it definitely wasn't the announcement of a lifetime though -_-

Once the OTA upgrade is out the door and I see it working...and the price actually drops to $199...I might think about getting one and replace one of my HTPCs with it.

The Shield is looking to shape up nicely.

The shield has more potential than Gameboy and PSP. It's just all down to software. (and to an extent preference of course)

I love my shield. I just want more game support, this looks like the step in the right direction.

What about the tegra note? same chip at the end of the day

On a side note the shield costs £400+ used over here l0l, I would of easily brought it for £250 if it had a official release.

I would say more potential with the hardware and controls but the thing is MASSIVE in comparison...definitely no where near as portable as a PS Vita...plus the Vita's OLED and AAA games...

I dunno...wish they'd come out with a Vita 2 with analog triggers and a more powerful SoC...dev's already have done INCREDIBLY impressive things with it (Unit 13, Uncharted, Killzone, Tearaway, etc) so just imagining it with even something like a Snapdragon 800 would just be amazing. Everything else could stay the same as far as I'm concerned.
