Spec me a 24" monitor please, need to replace my ageing 20" Dell.

Hi all,

I currently have a Dell 2005FPW...(20" @ 1680 x 1050) rolleyes.gif

http://support.dell.com/support/systemsinfo/document.aspx?~file=/monitors/2005fpw/en/about.htm#Specifioications

And although there are zero problems with it, I feel I am missing out on real estate with my gaming.

I am only interested in Maximum 24" size as the bigger 27" monitors wont fit in the space I have.

Looking for a marked improvement of what I have now, but dont want to go silly on cash, (max £150 for now)

Don`t quite know what would be best but mainly play FPS, Bioshock, Metro, etc.

At the moment I cannot put down DayZ (standalone), so I think my main problem is resolution, playing online and items not as sharp as 1080, when my mates notice something, I go...where??

Put some cash into my rig recently so cant afford mega bucks for a monitor (atm) but do need to change to a big boys monitor.

Running a GTX590, so I should be able to still pump out very good fps on most titles.

I WILL be getting a `proper` gaming monitor at the end of the year with 2560x1440, but at this moment I have a motorcycle to finish building.

Thanks everyone for your time.

Chris.

The Asus or BenQ 144Hz models w/ G-Sync would be my choice for gaming .... Dell IPS for Photo editing.....the Asus you can buy w/o the G-Sync and upgrade later .... not so sure about the BenQ. For ewhatever reason, the Asus is a lot less expensive on this side of the pond and the BenQ on your side.

And yes, I'd definitely take a 1920 x 1080 144 Hz over a 2560x1440 60 Hz. Asus has a 2560x1440 coming out w/ G-Sync capability but it's gonna be outta ya price range.
