Bad BIOS Flash on 780, need help unbricking - Page 2

I think EZflash is worth a try you can tell it to flash a specific pci-e slot. I am sorry not being able to help you more than that. There are more knowledgeable person on the forum than me.

I would wipe driver too.

Sorry guys, Im trying.

Using EZFlash, and renaming my stock BIOS to x.rom it still says No NVIDIA Display Adapter found...

I have a feeling this is one that is well beyond saving.

That`s extremely odd. Sounds like the card is dead some how... but caused by a bios flash?

the iGPU is set as the default graphics display output when I get home from work.

If you actually do have a secondary BIOS as suggested above then switch to that lol ^ (although I'm fairly sure you don't as my SC reference doesn't.)

However, I had a flash end prematurely recently on my 780Ti SC EVGA reference, I flashed it again in the same instance sucessfully, however for some reason that wasn't enough, as when I rebooted - nothing - dodo!

I couldn't get EZFlash (NVFlash) to detect it either. After a DDU / Driver Fusion / a bit of p*ssing around, it saw the GPU. Disabled auto protect and set it to flash GPU 1# , didn't detect the BIOS table as it was obviously corrupted, but flashed the stock bios over regardless.

Saved.

What BIOS did you accidentally flash to by the way? As it could possibly be that you've caused permanent damage

This is exactly what I suggested but the OP said it didn't work. I didn't bother to mention because the steps are clearly indicated.

DDU / Driver Fusion shouldnt have been an issue as I put the card in my test bench which the card was never previously installed.

I played with it for 2 days. In fact EVGA even sent me a replacement but I would like to get this original card back if possible since the new card is a dud overclocker.

I flashed the Skynet 3A 941bios which worked perfectly on my EVGA 780 Reference (The one with the plastic blower, not the nvidia metal reference cooler)

I took the card to my test bench and have been using a second GPU as well as my iGPU to try and get EZFlash to work.. No matter what, always get "No NVidia Display Adapter is Present"

Im willing to pay $50 to anyone who can help me save the EEPROM so I can send the replacement back to EVGA. Thing was shipped from RMA missing 2 thermals pads on the RAM, and a screw missing from the cooler... considering my bricked card was 10minutes old, id rather keep it.

Another thing I tried was using the replacement card in PCIE 2 (My 290 was in the main slot) and loading up NVFlash and then starting the stock BIOS flash, then when it wanted confirmation, I pulled out the replacement GPU and stick my bricked GPU in the stock and hit "y" - Unfortunately this did not work as the moment it was plugged in, the fan went to 100% and NVFlash then returned a Error: Protected message.

If I boot the card in a secondary slot, the fan is at normal 30%

How would EVGA fix this card? Im assuming they have a way of getting to the EERPOM on their own?
