Are Corsair AF120-LED fans good for a heatsink?

Thread Starter
In a week or so I'm going to be purchasing some Corsair AF120-LED fans for my case.

I'm going to put one in the front of my case as a intake fan and the other two will be mounted on a Cooler Master T4 evo, It will be push pull.

I'm just wondering if these are good fans for the heatsink as their air flow fans and not static pressure fans.

If these arent a good option for heatsink fans, please suggest what I should purchase instead. I want LED fans though... Preferably blue

Absolutely not.

The LED fans you want on a heatsink are Cooler Master Jetflo or Cougar Dual-X (CFD).

What are the AF120s good for? Exhaust and intake?

really low restriction situations like exhaust on a loose hex mesh or a wire grille.

http://www.silverstonetek.com/techtalk_cont.php?tid=wh_chessis&area=en

Static pressure + Dynamic pressure = total pressure / "stagnation pressure"

Dynamic pressure is proportional to square of flow velocity

Your case mesh is going to be rather restrictive, I'd expect at least 20-30% flow reduction with AF , maybe 15-20% on SP

I have rounding venting holes in my case.
My PC is virtually wireless though

According to the links posted here http://www.overclock.net/t/1476537/corsair-fans-by-application, SP series beat the AF series in static pressure AND airflow.

I have changed my list and have included two Cooler Master Jet Flo 120MM Fans and I have one AF120 fan for the intake for the front of my case.

I have a lot of obstacles in the way of my front intake fan, I have Round venting fan holes followed by the front panel that has a grid infront of the fans with 3 strips.

I'm barely getting air in there so can someone link me to a fan that is really good for moving air?

(Also, what do you think of this fan cooler? I just need something basic.)
