Sapphire R9 270 No voltage control in AB only Trixx

I have two sapphire dual X R9 270s. I can set the voltage with trixx, But I don't like the software it has other issues and is not very stable for me.

Afterburner voltage slider is not available. I have allowed unofficial OCing and tried to check/uncheck all the voltage check boxes in the settings.

Is it just that AB doesn't support the voltage controller my card has? Sucks because I know its not locked as I can adjust with trixx.

I have the same deal with my MSI 270xs i believe they are voltage locked. In Trixx i can move the voltage slider, but only down, it's already maxed out, in AB, it's locked altogether.

I think you have to switch to the second bios to change voltage by sliding the little black switch on the cards board.

That's how it works on my Sapphire HD6970's. You will need to switch it when the computer is off.

When I adjust them in trixx I can actually see the voltage change in gpu-z. So they are not actually locked.

I understand, mnes actually the opposite. Lowering it has no affect. But I can raise it all the way to 1.3v. But when I run a bench using trixx the clocks bounce around. But with AB they stay locked.

Also my cards have no bios switch.

Every type of 270x must be different in that regard, i can't raise mine past the stock voltage of 1.20 in Trixx...not very handy for information sharing. mad.gif
