R9 280X Trifire overheating

Hi there, this is my first post here. I'm having some problems with my trifire configuration, the middle one gets so hot the system shuts down (Heck maybe i even already fried it.. I'm waiting 15 minutes before starting him again right now) Just checked still working

How am i gonna cool it properly? Can i mod it with better coolers or even water cooling? This is my first crossfire setup, so i may need some more explanation then others.

First off, please use the "Rig Builder" (up in right corner) so we know what parts you are using, will make it a lot easier to make recommendations.
Second, pics is allways helpful.

Personally, I would recommend watercooling for a tri setup since the middle card will allways be hot due to starvation of cool air.
As a temporary solution you could use a high static pressure fan to force some more air in between the cards.

And relax, the cards will most of the time shut down before they are damaged, the temp sensors are there for a reason thumb.gif

Here's my rig: http://www.overclock.net/lists/display/view/id/5736590
I'll make pics tomorrow

What kind of water-cooling would you recommend?

This calls for a custom loop, so here are some suggestions:
Rad for the top
Rad for the front
Pumptop with pumps
CPU block
GPU blocks (should fit, some of the other gurus might chime in here)
SLI Bridge

Then you have to fill in with hoses, fittings, water etc..
When it comes to fittings, I have to recommend Bitspower Compression fittings with some 1/2" x 3/4" tubing.

I recommend you take a look in the watercooling section for more info, but this should be a good start thumb.gif

Currently ordered this: http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_26060.html in combination with a H55

I'll see how it goes
