Need suggestions to replace fingertip grip mouse

Relevant information:

1. What's your grip style?
Fingertip, as per title. However, I have very small asian hands, so need a small-ish mouse.

2. What's your sensitivity?
Right now 1200DPI on 27" screen.

3. What's your maximum budget?
140.

4. Do you want additional buttons?
MUST have side buttons (back, forward) and middle click and scroll.

5. What games do you play?
DotA2, SC2, Diablo 3 mostly. Other random Steam stuff sometimes.

6. Do you mind about prediction?
Yes, the mouse suggested must have very few of it (see other relevant info.)

7. Other relevant information?
Of course:
  • I'm currently using my computer for a lot of stuff, mainly: gaming, computational fluid dynamics (science stuff which requires lot of mouse work when generating the grid) and photography. With my current mouse, I'm having lots of trouble in these 3 areas.
  • I've used a Logitech G9x for the past couple of years, and it just broke on me before last Christmas. My girlfriend got me a nice Logitech G700s for Christmas and I have tried for the past 3 months to like it but the more I used it, the more I realized I really have a fingertip grip, sometimes claw grip.
  • I have a plain Logitech mouse at job and actually find it more comfortable than my G700s (looks like this one: http://www.logitech.com/en-ca/product/mouse-m100?crid=7)
  • I also do not like any of the Razers products due to the "always online" feature I keep hearing about.
  • Would like to step away from Logitech mainly due to the fact that I see no mouse I really like from them.
  • Open to wireless as long as the mouse is not too heavy and it doesn't disconnects often.

Thanks for looking and helping! biggrin.gif Let me know if I missed some details.

Zowie FK, but if it's not too heavy and too large, Avior 7000. I use the Avior with my fingertip grip in FPS games. The FK has only 3 CPI settings so I don't know if your games are dependent purely on mouse CPI, because if they are you should go for a 3310 mouse and the only available 3310 mouse that is ambi and smallish is the Avior 7000. Otherwise you can take a look into 3090 mice like the Savu, also pretty small. Another popular choice for small mice is the CM Spawn.

Thanks for the suggestions. I originally based my search on a couple of threads here on OCN along with these:

I have also looked at my grip on the G700s and realized the mouse might only be too tall (and heavy). Its height won't allow me to fingertip grip it comfortably.

Honestly, I was really looking at the Roccat Kone Pure Optical and Roccat Kova ([+] model ?) I understand that the two sensors you are suggesting are the best, but do they really make a world's difference? I'm coming from a G9x, a G700s, MX5500 (which I hated) and other crap mice. Roccat is appealing to me since they have a whole set of peripherals, much like Logitech.

Additionnally, do you think it is possible to adequately fingertip grip a G400s? Is the S3095 good?

The G400s won't fingertip well at all, it's pretty tall too and has a pretty big butt.

The KPO is quite good, other than the Savu that's the only Roccat I know of right now with a good optical sensor.

I was looking for a palm/fingertip grip mouse on another forum they suggested I look at the Zowie EC1 eVo, Zowie EC2 eVo, and the CM Alcor. Not sure if this post will be of any help since my budget was lower ($50-$75) , but hopefully it is. After looking around I think I'm going to end up with a Zowie EC1 eVo CL although I haven't ordered yet.

Edit looked at your post again and saw you don't like Razer mice because of the always cloud based driver (I don't like them because they keep failing on me). Another thing you many enjoy about the Zowie mice are that they are plug and play so you don't need any special software.

Thanks everyone for the input. I ended up buying a Roccat Kone Pure Optical. I find it very accurate and the shape is really comfortable; however, the surface finish is so slippery that I have to tighen my grip and after a couple of hours it gets tiring.

I followed the new G502 thread, might give it a try.
