Hi guys,

So I would like to play ps4 with my monitor, but the thing is my speaker is the 2.1 from Bose. It does not have digital output i.e. HDMI or optical. So how can I have sound from the PS4? Do I need some kind of amplifier?

Thank you

Sorry I have a Bose Companion 3.

You would need to buy a HDMI to composite adapter, which would be an active processing device. I'm not sure what inputs the Bose has, but if it's only stereo minijack inputs, then you would need a composite RCA to stereo minijack adapter, which you only need a physical adapter for, no additional processing needed for the convesion.

Here are examples:

You would actually want something like this http://www.rakuten.com/prod/hdmi-to-hdmi-spdif-rca-l-r-audio-extractor-converter-for-pc-tv-blue/262480082.html

Which strip audio and send it out the RCA jacks, and then sends the video along the HDMI output so you can connect it to your monitor. You would then just get an RCA to 3.5mm cable for the bose speakers.

I don't know if the particular product I linked is any good, so do you own research.

edit: here's a good one http://www.amazon.com/J-Tech-Digital-Premium-Extractor-Converter/dp/B00BIQER0E
