Advice on installing new graphics card and coolant change

Thread Starter
I am getting ready to install a new graphics card and waterblock into my current system. The coolant I am now using is Mayhem's Pastel and it's been in use for just over one year.

What I was wondering is if I should now take the time to fully drain the system coolant and buy new? The coolant is rated for 2-3 years though so I wasn't sure.

Also, if I do drain all the coolant, should I remove all my rads, drain them and rinse them out? If I do, is very warm water the best for cleaning them?

What about the tubing, it still looks very good and I don't have issues now. If I drain my coolant and go with a different color, would I have problems without cleaning the tubing too?

I have a drain valve installed in my system to make this fairly easy, but if I was going to NOT change the coolant at this time, would I have to fully drain it or use some sort of clamps for removing the tubes running to the video card I am replacing?

Thanks for any input

i'd pour the coolant into a bowl or something and re-use it. Just be aware, you will probably lose some while doing all of this, if you don't have any extra, you still may want to pickup some more to top off your loop when you're done. I recently did the same thing.
