Should i upgrade to 760 from 660 Ti?

Thread Starter
hi Everyone, new to the forum and just picked up EVGA GTX 660 TI from local Microcenter for $143 REFURB. But they also have a good price on MSI GTX 760 for 207 (opened box). Do you all think its worth the $64 to upgrade to the 760?

I have used both cards, and can tell you no, it isn't worth the difference.
The 660ti is actually a very good card, especially for the price you paid. I would suggest to grab a second one for that money and look at SLI before paying the difference for a minor upgrade.

What resolution do you play at and what games are you playing?
Do you have the PSU and MB to support SLI?

Probably best if you can list all of your system specs to give you the most accurate suggested course.

You can get a gtx 670 for ~$200. It's superior to both cards in every way. Return your 660 and shop around

No, it is not worth it, I honestly don't think you are going to notice any game play difference between those cards.

Actually, no. The 760 and 670 are extremely close in performance. They swap places depending on the situation.

Here is a review for you to look at. It will show you exactly what you are asking about.

My suggestion, is go for a second a second 660ti for $80 more than the amount of money you are looking to spend. The performance will be greater than anything else in the $300 range.
If you want to stay single card and in the $200 range, there are some used 680's in the marketplace ($250 asking) here which would be better than any of the other cards listed. As far as the 670 and 760, get whichever is the least. They are a tossup and will perform about the same in similar situation.
