1. Not sure about Afterburner, but with PrecisionX when you link the card settings it makes them have the same offset. Not the same clock. So it's not very useful to link settings with cards that have different factory default clocks.

2. For SLI, your performance depends on the speed of the slower card (including overclocks). That means there is no point in having one card running faster than the other. You should see what clock your cards boost to at default settings and set your overclocks to compensate. For example, let's say card 1 boosts to 1150 MHZ and card 2 boosts to 1200 MHz. Then you should use +50 more overclock on card 1 so they boost to the same speed.

3. Running cards in SLI adds a bit of extra stress, so it's possible you need to back off on the overclocks a little compared to the single-card stable overclocks. Looks like you have non-reference coolers as well so one card will be blowing hot air into the other when running SLI.

4. Just running a single Heaven/Valley bench doesn't necessarily mean your overclock is stable. When you're on the edge it might bench fine but crash if you let Heaven loop for 30 minutes. Or crash in BF4.
Hey bro, thanks for the reply.
However as stated, I'm running pure stock on both cards. They're just factory overclocked. Should I downclock my kfa2? Or do I not have to worry about that, at all? As AB takes care of that?

Your CPU overclock could have become unstable with the second card.

Personally I would just bring that back to Stock ATM.

Also I would overclock the cards to the KFA2's stock settings. Which would make your main card work harder.

Pwah, that was stable for god knows how long via FOLDING - so I highly doubt, that could be possible + there's absolutely no signs of the CPU being unstable (no BSODs etc leading to it)

Just ran 5x Valley's in a row - cards were going mental (fans) - it's getting hot in hear, so everyone take yo clothes offfffff biggrin.gif!

I'm going to simply game on BF4 for 1-2hrs - for me that's been the biggest GPU + CPU + RAM test.
Benchmarks can also crash for unknown reasons (although if they fail constantly that points a finger towards hardware) - right now it ailed only 2x - and then I re-re-reinstalled drivers over than (2x clean, 1x "dirty") and so far so good.

Thus DL'DR: Seems to be pointing towards drivers.
I remember someone telling me:
"I had trouble with my SLI setup, I had to install both card, without the bridge, re-install the drivers, then install the bridge + enable SLI and then re-install the drivers."
That's essentially what I've done now.

Yeah Blower Cards are always better for SLI/CF setups, or atleast when used as the top card.

PC doesn't need to BSOD for CPU errors. Sometimes something as simple as a game's exe crashing could be caused by unstable PC.

When your games crash do you get a GPU has recovered message? Or do you simply get a EXE has crashed error.

haven't had the game crash on me - only heaven bench.
Haven't had time to play (or be bothered) to game lol.

I did play 10mins of SP BF4 - and it didn't crash or cause problems - actually absolutely beasted in FPS.
This was on ULTRA (custom)

Benchmarks are just that, benchmarks, only real world matters. I don't even use Heaven anymore, Valley and that's enough for me. Even then, it means nothing if all my games etc run fine and some benchmark doesn't.

well for my broken GPU that I bought ( heaven and valley were extremely useful to point out the flaw immediately smile.gif! )

PS. first GTX680 I bought just got refunded. Now the 2nd one has to be refunded by tomorrow.
Then I'm "even" biggrin.gif (these were the two 680s that I got scammed by)

It's possible for your cpu overclock to be stable for prime or folding but not for running your overclocked cards in SLI. I had overclocks for my graphics cards and cpu that were are separately stable in prime and Heaven, but when I put them together Heaven crashed in 5-10 minutes.

and what would suggest it is CPU related - how could I identify it?

Try running Heaven bench with CPU at stock.
