Need some help with a quick SLI issue - Page 3

I had a similar issue with my cards. One was 1006 and the other at 1084. I created a backup of both bios and flashed the slower one with the higher bios. Granted my cards are the same manufacturer except one had a slight oc on it. Also from my understanding, they will run independently even using msi ab to synchronize them. I would try setting both cards the same using this http://www.v3dt.com/nvidia/600/ . Keep each bios there own (create a backup) and adjust either to match the higher clock or lower clock. Then flash the bios. This is the easiest way I have found to flash my cards and it takes literally seconds.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/3zf280a9xby77j3/nvflash_how_to.zip

These are the files I use with the instructions. If you need any help just let me know. I am not an expert by any means, just trying to help.

Not sure I'm willing to flash the BIOS in all honesty.
The more I play with them, the more I think it is a driver issue.

Ran BF4 single player, with no problems for 30mins yesterday - I have still yet to test it properly (it was my cousin playing on my PC).
Running everything on ultra, with AA deferred OFF - not sure I can move that up to 2x or 4x - simply due to my VRAM limit.
AA post on high (maxed).

GPUs hit a staggering 87c - never seen the GPUs go that hot!
They're both stock, so I was surprised to see them hit such a high temp. I might have to create a fan profile - what's your take?

As far as I know you have to flash the bios to unlock 100% fan speed. And using the same link I provided. Were these cards bought new or used. Just wondering based off the pics you provided earlier in the post. I can understand the fear of flashing the bios as I had the same, no pressure bro.

fan speed seems unlocked via AB though?

well my GTX680 (single) the MSI one was always 88%. In SLI - still 88%
So yeah you're right in that respect, but maybe there's a reason it isn't 100%?

BTW Just tried saving my BIOS via GPUz - it doesn't work. It crashes :/

I may br wrong and the msi cards may have 100% fan and maybe your fan profile is set up like that. When you look on the fan tab in msi ab, do you see any yellow dotted lines.

That's good. Well if all else fails you can adjust the clocks to match using msi ab and test from there.

Why do you want to flash the bios? You can set fan profile and clock speeds in precision X or afterburner. It's not just for overclocking, you can underclock your card if it's getting too hot and fan can't cool it.

Having said that, I'm running two 670's with reference coolers around 1200 MHz and temps max out in the 60's on BF4 with my custom fan profile. The factory fan profile seems to favor silent operation and the cards run in the low 80's.
