Thread Starter
I am thinking about upgrading from a 7770. And i'm deciding between a 750 Ti and an R7 265.

R7 265 is faster then a 750ti, at stock the 265 will be noticeably faster.

If you are looking for a bigger upgrade then 265 would be a more noticeable upgrade.

Though for Power Supply Reasons probably better to get a gtx750ti.

There is no competition between the two R7 265 is much better than GTX 750 Ti

http://anandtech.com/bench/product/1127?vs=1130

The 750 Ti is more power efficient though.

If you want more performance R7 265 is just the only choice. GTX 750 Ti are for users who want a very good card without external PCI-E power connectors.

R7 265 is a HD 7850 clocked at 925 mhz and faster memory (1400 mhz) . its a GTX 660 competitor. R7 265 scales very well with overclocking and easily matches a HD 7870 at 1150 Mhz.

at current prices R9 270 might be the better buy

The 750 Ti is more power efficient though.

What about the heat and temperatures? The 750 Ti is a beast of an overclocker and could easily match up the the 265 when done so. Then that puts the question up of how far can the 265 get OC'ed.

The Gtx 750Ti is more fun to play with but in terms of true raw performance the 265 gets my vote thumb.gif

May match the 265 at stock but not when the 265 is overclocked.

1100 - 1150 mhz is quite common on R7 265. the sapphire dual x cooler has low temps and noise

Not sure if you're trolling, 37dB is not low noise. 27dB like an MSI Twin Frozr IV R9 270X Gaming is low noise. 25-27dB on MSi/Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti is low noise.

Newegg sells the R7 265 for $160 when it's actually in stock, and the R9 270 for $180. Most benchmarks show the 270 averaging 10-12% higher framerates.

Personally I'd take the higher performance for the $20 difference in price.
