Is the OS responsible for the crashes?

Apps like these do not make it on the IOS store to begin with lachen.gif

I think the article is referring to OS crashes.

I think the article is referring to OS crashes.

You mean like the Infinity Blade update that wiped out all saved data?

And is it referring to OS crashes? Seems like not, from the bit quoted in the OP:
Quote:
The report, which studied crash reports from 1 billion mobile users over a one month period, heartily dismisses the stigma that iOS apps are the most stable.

And is it referring to OS crashes? Seems rather unspecific, to me.

What saved data? The game save data?

BTW that is not a crash.

My last phone was not very stable (Samsung Galaxy S1 Continuum). It would crash everything, messaging, phone calls, Facebook, or browser. I love my iPhone 5S. Nothing ever seems to crash, and I've never had the OS crash either.

Yes, it wiped all game save data (not all device data, that would be...yeah....). I know it's not a crash, but my point is that apps with shoddy QA can and do make it to the iTunes store.

BTW, please see edits. Further clarification seems that they were in fact talking about app crashes.

The app is shoddy. That has nothing to do with the OS.

Did you really have to ask that question lol? The answer is obviously clear.

Hmmm... Seems like they are referring to app crashes headscratch.gif

Samsung Galaxy S1 in general were bad phones.

My mom had one, The device is known for hard lockups, freezing, apps crashing, among other problems.

It's a old phone with a old version of android that never was really that great.

If you had something like a S4 or One then you would have a totally different experience.

iOS is more crash prone then some of the higher end android phones, but low tier android phones can be down right bad.

Considering I have an SG4 and my gf has a Iphone 5s......either we're total outliers or this is complete crap. My SG4 sucks. Even people at work complain about the crap that comes bloated on it. Iphone isn't an option for me...

My SG4 has done nothing but lose features (the ability to switch my data on/off from notification menu) and continues to get slower and slower at loading up basic apps (images, youtube, etc...) Not to mention Chrome SUCKs on android with it's flashing tabs and piss poor performance and the stupid phone won't remember my default programs for anything!!!

horrible experience.

Come to think of it, my gf's iPhone 5s does restart itself occasionally, but other than that, it's 10x faster to navigate than my horribly utilized quadcore/2gb of Ram. Meanwhile, my Windows 7 phone lasted 2 solid years....
