ITT people using anecdotal evidence as fact. Moral of the story is people have different experiences with the same stuff. I've had multiple android phones and my S3 is going on what, almost 2 years now? And I haven't had a single issue out of it, runs like the day I bought it. Who gives a crap which OS is "more stable" as the only purpose of making that distinction is for epeen measuring as they're both (really all three) extremely stable with only a small amount having trouble.

Still rocking my S3. It always ran very well, but after rooting/flashing custom roms to it, I can see this thing lasting me another two years easily. Android rocks my socks. Period.

Ya know, I have to wonder how many people complaining about their phones performance might be using Chinese clone/knock-off's and if they even realize it. I have a buddy that swears up and down his phone is legit. But I can tell it's not. And he is constantly complaining about how it gives him hell. But yeah, I wonder...

I went from a BB 8830 to a T-Mo G1 to an iPhone 4 and now an HTC One mini. The BB was the most stable phone I've had, the G1 left a lot to be desired, the iPhone was great until iOS 7 to point where I'd still be on it if I could have gone back to 6. My one mini was great for 6 months but is having issues, just like my G1 had issues after about that time. I do believe this will be my last Android device. Since I have unlimited data on my contract I'll probably go back to BB since it seems to be the best at least for me.

I've used the every iPhone from the 3GS to the 4S, and towards the end of my use of these, they all had constant crashing and the 3GS and 4 ended up very laggy.
On the other hand, I'm now using a Nexus 4 and its still quick and stable after the 1.5 years I've had it.

But, I know family and friends that have used the S2, and towards the end of its life it has suffered major stability issues.

That seems common with both iphones and android. As you get further into their life they get slower and seem to hitch more. I have a windows phone that honestly still runs just as well 2.5 years into it as it did day one. My next phone will be the icon, a windows phone.
