MSI GTX 560TI FRIED

Hey guys,

Just got back from work and when I got my front door open I was welcomed by a horrible burnt smell, I ran around trying to find the source but nothing stood out. I ended up seeing my computer was off so I took a peak and my gfx card is done one of the caps burnt up and fell off.

I have no idea how this could happen to a pc which was at idle mad.gif

Edit: Added pics.

Sounds like there must have been a power surge or something?

I'm not sure but the computer is connected via surge protector. I'm lost!
