My parts just came in today, except for the Xeon x5460 which I bought off ebay for $53.

MSI Twin Frozr GeForce GTX 760 OC
WD Black SATA III
Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2
G.SKILL DDR2 4GB 1066MHz

Spent a little more than I originally planned. Oh well. This thing is going to be a beast. Having trouble finding help on overclocking this cpu, though.

Look up guides on the Q9550. Same process.

If you are going to be adding this memory to what you currently have installed (vs. just replacing it), then you may need to spend a little bit of time tweaking the memory settings like the voltage and timings and northbridge (MCH) voltage. Actually, here are the settings that I had for my E8400 at 4.05 GHz. I don't know if this will be helpful at all - like, I don't know what settings you'd be able to copy (and then tweak from there), but still:

VID: 1.2500V

If I remember correctly, then I think that overclocking a quad requires the changing of some other settings, but I can't remember what.

Here's the template for the EP45-UD3P that you should use when you're posting your settings:

If/when you post, simply copy/paste it into your post, then select all of it, and then on the editor's toolbar above, click where you see "Normal" and choose "Formatted". If you don't see "Normal" anywhere on the toolbar, then click "More". Also, in Notepad, make sure your font is something like Courier New or some other font like it that preserves the alignment of everything like this. Otherwise, you just get this:

I should have read your post earlier. I keep getting BSODs and I think it's related to my new RAM because every time I try to install something, I get a BSOD. PAGEDFAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, and other errors like Kernel Power 41 (63)...etc. I'll update this post soon with the template you posted.

Well of course it hasn't. The difference between 1.8V and 2.1V for memory that should be at 2.1V is huge.

What are those asterisks for?

Also, if your core voltage is set to Auto, then you can just leave the template as it is. I mean, you don't have to put "1.1875V" because it's on Auto and your CPU isn't overclocked, and therefore it doesn't matter. This template is for overclocking, mostly. It's to help anyone who has this board show what their settings are.

You can see your VID in Real Temp. Just click this button until you see it:

The asterisks are to show what I changed from the last template to the new one. But I'm still having trouble with my RAM, I think. Diablo 3 is crashing and blizzard says it's because of faulty memory. I really don't know what to do now. :/

Check your memory's voltage in CPUID's "HWMonitor". If it's lower than 2.1V, then increase it. As you can see in my M.I.T., I had to increase mine to 2.120V due to a vDrop (not vDroop) that I didn't anticipate. For me, 2.120V gave me 2.100V.

Are you using just the new RAM or both sets?

Just using the new RAM. Made a couple new changes, in the BIOS, I set "MCH Core" to 1.200V instead of 1.100V. I also set "System Memory Multiplier" to 3.20B. Seems to be running fine for the last 5 hours or so.

HWMonitor says my RAM is at 2.096V .....hm...Guess I should increase it a little in the BIOS then.
