HWMonitor says my RAM is at 2.096V .....hm...Guess I should increase it a little in the BIOS then.

Yep. I recommend increasing it until you see at least 2.100V.

If I set it to 2.100V in the BIOS then HWMonitor reads 2.096V. If I set it to 2.120V in the BIOS, HWMonitor reads 2.112V. I can only do increments of 0.010V so I can't get it to exactly 2.100V.

What's also weird is that CPU-Z says my memory's max bandwidth is 400mhz ( x 2 = 800mhz). It's running as PC2-6400. Even when I have the voltage up to 2.112, it still is only at 800mhz...

Maybe I should change my system memory multiplier? If I understand correctly then 1066/400=2.665, and I should set it to 2.66B (or D or A???)

You've been a ton of help TwoCables and pioneerisloud, and I'm learning a lot. I still need help, though! biggrin.gif

Oh good, then use 2.120V.

I don't know, but I know this: changing voltages does not (and can not) change clock speeds. You have to do that yourself.

So, work on it until you get 1066 MHz.

I couldn't set it to 2.66B so I used 3.20B.

However CPU-Z shows it's running at 533mhz but says the max bandwidth is 400mhz....

It's just telling you what your highest JEDEC value can be. Notice how it matches JEDEC #2. The memory tab shows you what it's currently running at, and SPD shows you information about possible specifications you can use. So, 533 x 2 is 1066. You nailed it.

Just installed my xeon and the air cooler. Are these settings okay? I haven't changed anything in the bios yet or anything.

HWMonitor shows it running at 32 degrees celcius.

I'm not sure why the multiplier is 8.5, though. It should be running at 3.167 GHz.

Try changing it to 9.5 in the BIOS. However, don't expect it to go past 9. I don't think it can.

First of all, you need a modded BIOS. I'll find the guy that helped me with mine, and shoot him a PM to respond to your thread. He fixed both my Gigabyte board's BIOS's. You're missing SSE4 and VTx instructions.

Secondly, your clock speed is off. You should be able to set the multiplier to 9x in BIOS, and then the multiplier addition to 0.5x, that should give you 9.5x multiplier (stock).
