Help for a Noob?

Just installed my 990fx r2.0 yesterday, seem to have things running ok. Any advice on performance or just general tips n tricks would be appreciated. I've updated the Bios to 2301 and did the auto oc tune through bios.

What operating system do you have?

 

Do you have a solid state drive?

 

What parts of the motherboard are you using, and what parts aren't? Refer to the full list of specs and then post. :)

I'm saying this:

 

Are you using all of the features of the motherboard? What features aren't you using that it offers? Review this motherboard's specifications and then tell me what you're using and what you're not. That's why I said "specifications".

 

What I'm getting at is this: I would like to help you disable parts of the motherboard that you are not using. For example: onboard audio. If you have a sound card, then you can disable onboard audio. Things like that. Just look up the motherboard's specs and then tell me what you're not using. Actually, you could even go through the manual to see how to disable (toggle on and off, enable, disable) anything that you're not using. You don't really need me for this.
