Are Noctua fans worth it?

Thread Starter
I'm using corsair 350D. Currently im using the stock fan that came with the case for the front. Is getting 2 140mm noctua fans for the front worth it?? and which model should I go for??

OR you guys recommend some other brands.

I prefer them to be on the quiet side and some decent amount of air.

Nor for your build. You only have one GTX 760. You would be just fine with the stock fan configuration of the 350D. Or, maybe you could add an exhaust to the top, but eh... I dunno.

hmm, but isnt the intake just so-so for the 350D. since the front panel is kind of blocking the intake?

What are your CPU and GPU temps while playing the most demanding games that you have?

well haven't tested much on this rig yet since i just finished building it. my cpu temp at light load is around low 20s C. my zalman cooler is blowing hot air out directing to the exhaust fan.

My GTX 760 is the reference card so Im guessing more cool air in the case is better for the blower style gpu. I play far cry 3 and would like to play GTA5 in the future if its released.

Do you have anything installed to monitor GPU temps?

I am going to get a lot of hate for this, but Noctua fans are never worth it.

1st things first,

download GPU Z, CPU Z, and HWmonitor.

play your games on the highest settings you can play for about a good hour. (actually, with the 760, just max the settings out)

come back with screen shots of your temps
