[Build Log] Iced Antares 900D Build [UPDATE]

Thread Starter
Hey guys just going to give a little update on my next build. Coming from an Switch 810 to this, blew me away in it's shear size!

I've made some progress on putting bits and pieces within the case. My last WC build was just a simple CPU loop, so I wanted to step up my game and broaden my horizons into the more advanced technical side of things which I will need to ask a few questions for certain things but we will get to that when we get there.. So let's get started with where I am at so far.

HARDWARE:

CASE: Corsair 900D
CPU: i7 3930K @ 4.8ghz
GPU: GTX 780Ti Classified (just one atm *managed to hit 1321mhz on the core on air:thumbup:* (will buy another two shortly)
RAM: 32GB G.Skill Ripjaws Z F3-2133
MOBO: Rampge IV Extreme
PSU: Corsair AX1200i

WATERCOOLING GEAR:

2x Alphacool UT60 480mm
1x Alphacool Monsta 240mm
CPU Block: EK- Supremacy Elite 2011
GPU Block: EK- GTX Classy Acetal Nickel
MOBO Block: EK- FB Kit RE4 - Acetal+Nickel CSQ
Reservoir: EK- RES X3 250 Reservoir
Pump: Swiftech MCP655 Variable Speed (Bitspower Mod Kit + Mod Top V2)
Fans: 10x Noiseblocker NB-eLoop B12-3
Tubing: Crystal Link - PrimoChill Rigid Tubing
Fittings: Bitspower (still deciding what I actually need and how the hell i am going to do it)

PHOTOS
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

NOTES #1: Do not mind the xt45 in the roof or the fans or the SP120's on the monsta it was just the excitement getting to me and just wanted to tinker a little biggrin.gif

NOTES #2: Yet to be purchased are fittings for primochill rigid tubing and some C47 Bitspower fittings along with adapters, 90deg Fittings, 45deg along with spacers and what have you. Some more photos to come in the next day or two.

NOTES #3: Received my pump, I sleeved it with MDCP sleeving, added the bitspower mod kit, and mod top, and mounted the X3 250 Res. I wanted it in another located (connected to the top of the pump though that landed to the leaning tower of Pisa lol

I'll have updates coming quite regularly from Tuesday providing I am able to get what I need in Australia.

As for the fans, yeah I absolutely love the look of them, but as I mentioned in my OP with the fans in push running at the full 1900rpm it's not really pushing much air through the rad and it's only 45mm thick, and I'll be using two UT60's and a monsta 240mm.

So I don't know if it will have enough static pressure. And it looks like I am unable to source any AP-15's

NOCTUAS not an option lol. Maybe in black Haha

Well, I got 2 UT60 480's and I don't see your problem, on my side there comes pretty much air through with the 1200 rpm ones on 12V rolleyes.gif

Looking forward to the updates, you will be more than lucky to find any GT's in Aus....I also wanted to buy some for my build but that won't be happening, also i have heard great things about the NB fans and there are great rad fans....

I wanted to buy some but at $25 a piece,it would cost me $200 for 8 of them, quite alot for just fans....

Alright well ill go all eloops then. I was going to wait for the enermax twister pressure 120mm fan. They're out in Europe apparently and no word when they will hit our shores. 2.94 for static pressure if memory serves me correctly. They do look promising but won't be holding out for them

I'll also will need to know what fittings I'll need I rather do it right the first time then find I needed a different fitting or angled or adapter etc, I wanted to go acrylic but go for symmetrical look straight lines. But with a rad in the roof bottom right and bottom left, no doubt I'll need to bend the acrylic somewhere.

Another idea was use as little tubing as possible hide it as best as possible and just run acrylic for the gpus and motherboard/CPU.

If that makes sense to anyone haha

Or I was thinking of tubing..

I honestly prefer the look of hard acrylic, especially in a 900D,but soft tubing looks great too....From what i have seen alot of builders use hard acrylic for the areas that can be seen and soft tubing for the hidden areas, like the top and bottom rad sections....Must be hard to build a water cooling pc in aus, everytime i'm ready to invest in parts they run out at pccg and they dnt even carry a wide variety in the first place....It sucks having to buy from overseas, and if you forget the smallest little part you will have to re-order and pay so much for shipping....
