Sony Vegas pro 12 and R9 290x

post #1 of 3
Thread Starter
What is the deal with getting my card working? I think I have everything set correctly for my 290x to help render but it does not appear to be working. It is no faster with the settings set to use my gpu than when it is not set to use the gpu. I also tried intel quick sync and that does not work either. I am getting frustrated with vegas pro!

You might have to install the AMD App SDK to enable OpenCL compute.

APP SDK Downloads

Scroll down and grab AMD-APP-SDK-v2.9-Windows-64.exe

i just tried right now;

no gpu assisted render (0% gpu load) = took ~23 seconds to get 1% rendering a 4k video

gpu assisted render (49%-50% gpu load) = took ~20 seconds to get 1% rendering a 4k video

i might have to look at that amd sdk too that FastMHz posted
