Corsair 650D - Front Fan is noisy and barely turning

Title pretty much says it all. I have a Corsair Obsidian 650D case, no mods or anything, and after about a year the front fan is making a racket and barely turning (It's turning at maybe 30 rpm so I doubt it's doing any good). I don't see it hitting anything, and I've opened up the case to make sure the HDD trays are in place and cables aren't near it.. Should I just unplug it? Get a replacement? The noise is pretty loud.

Sounds like a shot bearing or maybe just the mechanism.

Not really worth trouble shooting to be honest, I would just pick up a replacement.

You can try lubricating the sleeve bearing.
Pull off the sticker on the rear, and take out the rubber plug.
Then take some sewing oil, and put a couple of drops on the bearing.
Then spin it a few times to free up the bearing
Something like this: http://www.overclock.net/t/773256/prepping-a-sleeve-bearing-fan-for-work

Thanks for the advice! Can I use the fan on top (which works fine) for the front? I've ordered a new 200mm fan, but it's 30mm thick, so won't fit in the space in front.

Otherwise I'm thinking I'll just use a 140mm x 25mm fan in front - I figure it will probably move as much air and be far quieter than the stock fan. The system isn't all that overclocked anyway (I use it about 60% for work these days, depressingly).

Yes you can, its the same fan anyways.
If you want more silence i suggest you take a decent 140mm fan.
Couple of suggestions: Corsair Af140, bitfenix spectre pro 140, noiseblocker blacksilent 140mm or noctua nf-a14 (if you don't mind the color scheme tongue.gif)
