First water-cooled rig, computer parts ordered, need advices for the water-cooling parts - Page 2

Not to rain on your parade or anything but you may want to return those 780's, as of right now I couldn't find any of the hydrocoppers in stock not sure but with 8xx series upcoming who knows if more will be available.

Also the same card on EVGA website is $580 each plus $20 MIR on each and its the dual bios version. That's $120 price difference minus whatever evga charges for shipping. That will basically pay for cpu block.

the hydrocopper blocks are pretty crap. ek is the best for gtx cards thanks to the best vrm cooling of all the gtx blocks.
being in canada, what will it cost to ship them evga? any idea because i have none.

check dazmode for your water cooling stuff.

if you are going to buy new fans for your rads, think about 280 rads, 2x 140mm. each rad is about equal to a 360,3x 120mm. big difference. the fans you would want are Phanteks PH-F140SP_BK

It's already done so easier for me.

I might be wrong!

Mounting the pump seperately is not complicated.
Easier to decouple the pump fotmr noise if seperate. And filling the loop is easier too.

what he is saying is you will possibly save money buying the gtx 780 straight from evga. if you save $120 per gtx780, you can buy your blocks for free.
http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=03G-P4-3788-KR

will it cost you to send them back to where you bought them? how much will evga charge to ship you 2 new cards? you may save a good amount.

I see ok sorry.

But, like I said, it's Canada Money, so it's normal ! All is cheaper in $US, I probably can't order those from the EVGA website, even if I can, the tax will kill my ass and the shipping to.

I'm in Canada too.
I try to use only USPS, or Fedex.
Stay away from UPS, they will rip you off and add 'customs brokerage fees' if they notice your item is a purchase.
Those phokers charged me 35$ brokerage fees on a 25$ tool for work. UPS never again.
Also, I get all my dealers to mark the package as 'sample' or 'gift'.

My Caselabs STH10 cost me over 1,000$, and no taxes, or customs fees that way, cuz it was a sample.
Some years ago, I bought a 20,000$ item from Michigan.
I paid the guy 18,000$ up front and told him to C.O.D. the rest. That little trick fooled customs into taxing me for 2,000$ instead of 20,000$
But dpn't be stoopit and get C.O.D. for 2,000$ and insurance for 20,000$. Gobermint is dumb, but not that dumb.
