What do you mean a drain, I mean I know what is a drain but do you have a picture or an exemple ? Sorry again noob question probably...

3/8 id x 5/8 ? So I need to change my tubing also tho ?

I've 6x rotary compression fitting
4x @90
4x @45

I should ne fine ?

Anyway, Like I said, I'll first assemble the computer without water-cooling, to see if everything is ok and I've no DOA, and I'm gonna start to measure things.

Thank you !

make sure you order enough of everything.

i would order this pump

Ok ! I see it's like a pump in 2 parts, looks good, in fact you put the first one in the second one and you have your pump in 1 piece ?

Okay, I just took delivery of my Alphacool VPP655 pump.
It has a blue rpm wire, just like the pump you have on your list.
So that pump should have a rpm signal. That wire really should be yellow btw.
The Alphacool guys must be color blind. biggrin.gif

Pumps normally come with a regular pump top. But you need barb fittings to use those tops.
The pump PC-ill linked to is a naked pump, just the motor part, without the standard top.
And the other link is an aftermarket pump top to accept your G1/4 threaded fittings.

And I prefer the Alphacool pump top over the EK one PC-ill linked.
The EK one has the ports too close to each other, so some fittings won't fit.
And the Alphacool one has more port options too.

Edit: it's not the EK top that has the ports too close, it's the BitsPower one.
I'm not familiar with.the EK top, so no opinion on that one.
It looks like it does have fewer port options tho.

A drain, or drain port.
It just makes it easier to drain your coolant.
Just like a fill port, but at the lowest poin in your loop

Good thing PC-ill caught that one.
Just a T fitting, like this and a stop plug should do you just fine at the lowest point in your loop.

Each component (block, pump, res, rad) needs 2 fittings each.
Except for the drain T which requires 3 fittings.

With compression fittings, you have to match the ID and the OD of your tubing.

So pick your tubing size first. Most popular is 1/2 ID, 3/4 OD tubing size.
Than match your fittings to your tubings.

Oh dat's all ? I thought if twas for the fans or the noise of the pump, Well, I mean, could be interesting ...

A Filling Syringe is ncevessary ?

Also, and this is my last question (not sure tongue.gif) what kind of liquid do you use ? I don't want to color it, I just want a regular one, clear. And if possible, all set, I don't want to mix up some thing inside, I saw some already ready for use.

I have no idea what a filling syringe does.
So I guess you don't need it.
I just use a kitchen funnel on my fill port.

For liquid, I use distilled water, with X1 clear additive from Mayhems. It supposedly contains both biocides and anti-corrosion agents.
They have colored ones too. But red or pink, or orange will stain your loop.
Blue, green, or yellow, not so much.

As a fill port, I suggest just a piece of tubing with a compression fitting at one end.
You plug it into your res top port to fill the loop.
And you plug that port with a stop plug when done.

That way, you can fill your loop with the fill tube, pullied to the side so you don't have to pour the water directly into the res in your pc.

Ok, I'm almost there.

I understand almost everything you said and that's a good thing.

I think I'll stay with the 1/2 ID x 3/4 OD. Can you confirm is that the same tubing as this picture ? :

Also, I was looking for this kind of liquid : http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_381_996&products_id=30634 No need to mix with some other thing, and clear. I want a clear and sober rig, don't like flashy build.

So, I don't need SLI bridge then, and can just connect the 2 cards with this : http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_346_393_766&products_id=35668, then do it in serial, right ?

OMG I JUST RECEIVED ALL MY PARTS MY GF JUST CALLED ME AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH thumb.gif

Picture tonight ! I'm still at work (working night shifts)

Edit : Oh yeah, I forgot, for the whole water-cooling, do I need more than 1 tube of silver 5 ?

I'm not familiar with that liquid you linked.
But ir's kinda pricey, and a liter will be 1 kg more in shipping weigh.

I suggest this one instead:
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_381_1071_915&products_id=34058
It will mix with distilled.to produce 2 liter. So it's basically almost half price compared to that phobya one. And will weight 4 times less in shipping
In fact, you might need 2 liters of that phobya stuff. That's 2 kg instead of around 0.25 kg for the X1.

That phobya one might be good or not. Im just not familiar with it.
The X1 i linked will be good as a biocide for algea and bacteria, and it is an anti-corrosive as well.

That SLI connector will work fine. Just make sure your two cards are next to each other, and not with a PCI space in between. Consult your mobo instructions for that.
If your two cards are spaced out, you will need this connector:
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_346_393_766&products_id=35775

I don't like silver. It's a metal, and the more different metals you add to your loop, the more likely you could end up with galvanic corrosion. And both the Mayhems X1, and that phobya juice already have biocide in them. So no need for silver. But if you still want silver, just a silver kill coil like this is enough:
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=28871
Or one plug like this:
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=33961

And YEEEHAA!
It's always fun to get a shipment of new computer parts. biggrin.gifthumb.gif
