Hi :D - Page 2

I was an early adopter on Windows 8, got in on the free Beta then decided it had potential and bought the license.

Nowadays I'm also using Arch Linux and Puppy Linux. I first started with Puppy around 2006. I was impressed with the level of support provided. I was actually able to talk to the founder, Barry, via IRC and get help with some driver issues. I was living in Oregon at the time, and found out that most of Puppy's servers are housed at Oregon State University. I used to donate all of my surplus hardware and drives to them as a way of giving back.

DOS skills are still a bit relevant- I was able to wow my boss last month by creating .bat files for everyone to load up the 8+ programs we use everyday rather than clicking each indivdually. biggrin.gif

Windows 8 for me is like having a lumia 900 on a desktop completly irrelevant lol if its not touch screen i don't want it lol, but it is a good OS and has some pretty good features. Needs some improvements other than that it's a good OS.

Oh yeah batch files are always fun lol. i've been dipping more into PowerShell lately but still prefer the good ole batch files.
