Other Info:
AMD FX8350
Antec 500 Watt Power Supply
MSI 970A-G46 Motherboard*
8 GB RAM (Corsair Vengeance, 1 Stick)

This motherboard only has PCI 2.0, which makes me wonder if it's bottlenecking my GPU and/or if it will when overclocking."

someone posted this on a FB group im in and im wondering this question myself

what i would say, is that the CPU is being bottle necked by the GPU (i saw some benchmarks a while back regarding BF4 and VRAM, with the vram hitting peaks of over 1gb constantly, (but not close to 2gb)

so, i think, even if this person OC'ed, it wouldnt increase performance, since its taking ram from system ram.

am i wrong? (i think i am wrong biggrin.gif lol)

We haven't even tapped the full power of PCIe 2.0. the only frame rate gains with PCIe 3.0 are because of the newer CPUs on the motherboards used to test. (2-3fps)

1GB VRAM will hold it back. I haven't actually played Battlefield 4 but a 7850 on BF3 ran it peasy. BF eats a lot of VRAM smile.gif

All settings ultra + 4x MSAA/HBAO at a solid 60+FPS 1080p isn't going to happen with a 7850 regardless of Vram and OC. You'd need an OC'ed 7970/GTX 770 minimum and would still experience frame drops at times. You're expecting an unrealistic amount from your GPU.
