Yes the 6300 has several different P-states

1.425V @ 4.1 GHz, 1.4125V @ 3.8 GHz, 1.225V @ 3 GHz, 1.125V @ 2.5 GHz, 1.025V @ 2 GHz, and 0.9V @ 1.4 GHz.

It's funny how there are specified voltages for different multiplier states but not a set voltage for the factory clock lol

Exactly, I couldn't find anything that would actually specify. People on forums say 1.35-1.4 but I want an official number lol.

This is AMD's pathetically lacking spec sheet for the 6300

http://products.amd.com/en-us/DesktopCPUDetail.aspx?id=811&f1=&f2=&f3=&f4=&f5=&f6=&f7=&f8=&f9=&f10=&f11=&f12=

I really wish amd had an ark deal like intel. One spot tells you everything about every intel chip ever made. Handy it is.

Download core temp and check the VID, that's your vcore.

Haha cmon man of course I know how to check MY vcore. What we are trying to figure out is a universal stock voltage for the 6300 as most results seem to vary. The issue is that I can find no official documentation that actually specifies a 3.5Ghz stock p state voltage. All the other p states are specified just not the stock lol.

Nothing officially released. According to extremepowersupply, a site to check TDP of the cpu when overclocked as well as the entire wattage of the entire system it lists the FX 6300 at 3.5Ghz at 1.35v.

We are talking about P-States at stock. Nope, VID and vcore arent the same. VID is programmed in at the factory and vcore is what you set in bios.

Actually, the only time you have to worry/pay attention to VID is when you set voltages using the offset method (instead of direct entry), like when using CnQ.

You look like you have a nice chip btw, 1.23v and on load its at 1.20v at 4.2ghz. smile.gif

Right on. Pretty much in line with all the other non official results I have found then. Maybe it has to do with the motherboard being the deciding factor in how much voltage to feed in a stock config so it will vary by board and cpu. It is the only thing I can think of for why no official number.
