Question About Different Versions of GTX 760

Thread Starter
So I'm in the market to buy a GTX 760, but I'm not sure which one to get. Logical Increments recommends the Gigabyte model, but I see that there is a "super clocked" version that EVGA is selling, is there actually a performance difference there or is it just branding?

Seeing as they are the same price on Amazon right now I wouldn't really be against buying one or the other. Is there any version you guys would recommend over these?

Also do you guys think my Corsair CX430 would have trouble powering this card? I ran my rig through the power calculator Linus suggested to use, and it comes out to only using 380W.

Hello,

Super Overclocked means just that.....your paying for drivers to be set where they think its safe, at temp....to run that clock , with the cooler there using on it...you can always run it factory, but the fact is.....its really the same chip as anyone elses....only the software will that comes with it, really acknowledge the clock.

A hardcore guy would buy a stock version, rip off the cooler and put a water cooler, and clock it himself....

When your looking, keep real mind to how it will be cooled....not what its set at...look for ppl saying "this card runs hot!"

As far as your power issue....look what the specs state, which is like maybe 400 or 500 watts to run it....overclocking also consumes a lot of power...

The Gigabyte mode you linked is better if overall performance is your goal. There are higher-clocked GTX 760's, but as far as models go, that Gigabyte one you linked is very good.
