It's capped at 30 fps by default. With DSFix you can unlock 60 fps but it may or may not work. The FPS unlock doesn't work for everyone. Other than that, DSFix does a really good job adding high res textures and better AA. You can also install a few other mods from the modding community.
Personally, I think with DSFix, Dark Souls 1 looks very nice. It's no Crysis (but then again what is? biggrin.gif), but I think it does look good. If DSII looks as good as Dark Souls 1 + DSFix...I would be VERY happy.

Maybe I'll pick it up on steam sale some day, maybe. Dark Souls never enthralled me enough to warrent finishing.

Its done very well. There is a lot to tweak, but because the game was not optimized for pc that well, you will need a hefty pc to have those high/max settings, which includes the 60pfs unlock. DS2 on the ps3 looks great.

dsfix link.

Dude... 15 hours every day since it came out? Sunshine can be fun too.

The latest version is great so far except I get a bug when talking to people: causes me to accidentally attack them during a conversation when playing in Windowed mode whenever I press A or B (X or O with PS controller/Generic game-pad) using x360ce version 3.1.4.1. Unfortunately it happens as well in fullscreen mode though very less often.

Another bug is when playing with the 60FPS unlock, it can cause collision detection to fail when sliding down ladders, though easy to avoid with patience.

I have not experience any input lag as of yet. Parrying is so much easier at 60FPS is a noticeable gain for me personally.

EDIT: Using DSfix version 2.2

Never had such problems. DS1 indeed looks nice with DSFix, SweetFX, textures and 60 fps (and mouse fix), altho your roll is shorter if you go above 30 fps so I must jump to some ledges I previously was able to roll on.
