Maybe he would like to put his 144Hz monitor and his 290X CFX set-up to some good use..60Hz is an eye sore once you are accustomed to 120+Hz., there should be no such thing as an fps cap on PC titles, there is no need for it.

I use a 144Hz panel. I enjoy fps much higher than 60 for fluid game play. Nothing wrong with that.

Then there are other titles which he can choose from to fulfill that need. 60FPS is fine for the majority and isnt going to break the gaming experience, setups like his are the minority and the minority comes with the price of often being left out.

Their explanation makes no sense and seeing these downgrades on games recently is annoying. Why do game devs take it upon themselves to reduce game quality on PC when its at the discretion of the user to change the graphic settings to run on their system. I'd rather have a real Ultra setting than what they are making this into.

I'd bet these are console developers, not pc. If my memory serves me right (its horrible), DS2 is officially their first forum into pc gaming. If people expect witcher 3 graphics...i dont know what to say. Again, DS2 looks beautiful on ps3.

I understand that many will be fine with 60fps. I'd just like the game to allow a higher fps for all PC users to enjoy.

I understand that and keeping the graphics as they "were" would be nice as well.

My money is that they dropped PC development early on. After they made the statement that they were developing on PC as their main focus or w/e. Then after they lowered the quality for it to be playable on consoles. Now we're getting a direct port from console to PC.

I want to believe other wise but nope. I had this feeling from the start and so far, it seems like my assumption is right.

Well at least we'll be able to run it at 60 fps without sliding through the ground this time. Although 120 fps would be way better, the difference between 30 and 60 is way higher than the difference between 60 and 120.
