Zowie FK's Malfunction speed? - Page 2

If your 2014 FK doesn't track even at the fastest swipes on a black pad, you have a defective mouse.

Yeah, I can't seem to get over 1.5 m/s malfunction speed on an Artisan Hayate. I just thought it was a part of the mouse design as I've never had a mouse with the lens like Zowie uses but maybe you are right. I will call customer service about it.

Yeh may have gotten a bit unlucky frown.gif

I have an artisan hayate next to me and it probably tracks the best of all my pads due to its tight and consistent weaving.

Cannot get either my old FK and new one to malfunction on it, mine has a fair bit of dust on it as well however I don't think it affects the tracking, just friction on the pad.

Hopefully you can get through to customer service at Zowie, an unfortunate few have complained that they take forever/never reply and so they just contacted the 3rd party retailer for a replacement instead.

My '14 FK works around 3.2m/s to 3.5m/s on my Hayate at 1150/1000hz. That's just Enotus, though. So it could totally be BS.

At least that fits my experience, also tested with mouse tester. And 1150 was the worst setting in terms of PCS.

I have the Zowie FK 2014 and the tracking on my Ratpadz is atrocious... It actually started out okay, but now I can't do an even moderately fast swipe in CS:GO without it locking up.

Then I re-tested the tracking on my Puretrak Talent and it works perfectly. I'm guessing either the FK is sensitive to mousepad type or my Ratpadz got really worn out.

Though I don't have a Talent, I've mostly had the same experience... Zowie customer service still hasn't even given me a reply so I'm stuck wondering if I really want to waste another 60 bucks for a mouse with ****ty Huano (more like Guano amirite?) switches and an unnecessary lens mod that probably caused/allowed the defect in the first place.

Sigh, why can't i get a lightweight ambidextrous version of the g400? bonjeursmiley.png
