Meh, Haswell didn't float my boat and I'm not ready to go back. X79 still alive and kicking and works just fine for me.

I don't know why they're trying to copy Asus' hideous style now.
How are they achieving this on the "Sniper7" :
Back to the motherboard talk, first up is Gigabyte which has teased some new design schemes for their next generation Z97 motherboards. From the looks of it, Gigabyte is preparing a high-end G1 Killer motherboard based on the Z97 chipset. The motherboard will feature a Sound Blaster core with a design scheme similar to MSI’s MPower and XPower series Audio Boost technology. The tease also shows an impressive four PCI-e 3.0 expansion slots (x16/x16/x16/x8) and three PCI-e 3.0 x1 slots. The motherboard has UEFI Dual BIOS, Killer E2200 LAN chip and an M.2 PCIe interface. The motherboard comes with a next generation heatsink design which we are going to talk about next.
New chip that adds 40 lanes???
