Thread Starter
My ram is 16GB 2x8G CML16GX3M2A1600C10
and motherboard ASUS Z87-PLUS s1150 Z87 MoBo.

So my ram is showing up as shown. I have tried to change to XMP in bios but seperately they show up as 1333mhz. Is that fine as long as the part next to XMP is correct?

thanks

Not sure if this will affect it, but it looks like the RAM isn't in the Primary RAM slots (A2/B2 instead of A1/B1). No harm in trying the other slots thumb.gif.

edit: Googling the board, it looks like the primaries are the black RAM slots.

I have not used that board in particular, but most Intel setups tend to default the RAM to 1333 unless specified otherwise in the bios. You should be able to manually set your RAM speed somewhere in the bios, that is what I had to do with by Gigabyte board. Go to your bios memory settings and look for a field set to 666.5mhz.

You've got to set the Xtreme Memory Profile for it to work at 1600mhz.

EDIT- I see you've done that already, try moving slots.
