Hey guys so I'm not happy withy my dell U2913wm , might be selling it.. But anyways I was looking to replace with the BenQ XL2420TE , but then recently found out they have the XL2420Z and was set in purchasing that but then seen that there is a software glitch with the light boost ? Has this been fixed ?, and what is the main differences between the BenQ XL2420TE and XL2420Z?

From what I read, version 2 of the XL2420Z fixed the issue.

Most retailers still have Version 1, but those sold on BENQ's USA site has Version 2 which is adjustable via Strobe Utility to be much better. There are currently rave reviews of Version 2.

You can also do the DIY V2 firmware upgrade if you wish.

LightBoost is a first generation motion blur eliminating strobe backlight. The newer ones such as ULMB, Turbo240 and BENQ Blur Reduction (Verison 2) are all superior to LightBoost, with better colors and brighter image.

So the BenQ XL2420Z has the "BENQ Blur Reduction (Verison 2)" you speak of and the XL2420TE has "LightBoost" ?

Actually the Z monitors have BOTH BBR and Lightboost.
But strobelight won't activate lightboost on the Z series, because the workaround trick that was used to get lightboost working without 3D vision on the Asus and previous benq monitors (which strobelight used) was patched.

Another alternative is waiting for the BenQ G-Sync line (XL2420G to be exact).. that's what i am doing actually.
Else i'd grab a XL2420Z with the v2. Alot of great reports regarding the Blur Reduction Mode paired with the strobe utility.
