BSOD Ax00000001

I got this BSOD when playing Planetside 2. I do not know the exact error code because the BSOD is the stupidest design I have ever seen. It quickly reboots without letting you copy or paste the error code, so this is my best guess.

Ax0000001 or something with a bunch of 0s. I don't even know if I am remembering it right. I did a Google search but it is hard to find info. Can someone help me out please?

guys I hate to bump my own thread but it happened again. The error said Ax0000001 or something like that. It had a few more error codes but the genius BSOD system didn't give me enough time and didn't save it to a text file for me to open later. I looked online and some people said that it may be their video card but I have had my drivers for a few months and I played all through Far Cry 3 and Deus Ex HR using it and I think it would have shown up by now wouldn't it? My video card is factory OCed to 1100 MHz and I put an extra 25 MHz OC on it for about a year ago. The temps never get hot. I have checked the temps in AMD Vision Engine during and after heavy GPU usage and it never gets above 65C give or take a few degrees. I can't remember the exact number.

Here are some things about my computer that I know could be the cause but I am not sure. When I installed my FX 8350, my motherboard thought it was still my Phenom 965. I had to bump up the clock speed from 3.4 to 4.0 in the BIOS. So I think my motherboard might see it as overclocked when it really isn't. I used CPU-Z to check the other settings of the CPU and they were all the same as the stock settings. The voltages were fine and a few of the cores were parked but that is normal. And I did this about a year ago so I don't think that is the problem.

I booted into memtest and it checked my RAM. Nothing to worry about there, but I didn't save the report or anything because I forgot.

I even went so far as to run Seatools and check my HDD. The only thing that I have done to my HDD is use mydefrag's once a week defragmenter on it. I also have an SSD but I am not going to do any tests on that because that would be unnecessary and since I am not an SSD expert, I do not want to run any test on it. I doubt that my HDD had anything to do with it but I ran this because I was frustrated and I wasn't thinking clearly.

The only changes that I made recently were that I switched video inputs to my TV and the sound through HDMI but then about 30 minutes later I put the input through the monitor and back through the speakers.

This is the only GPU related task that I have performed. Someone said to reinstall catalyst but do not check the HDMI audio option. I can't do that because I use my PC as an HTPC through an HDMI cable for both video and sound. And I can't imaging this being the issue since I was playing on my desktop using my Corsair Vengance 1500 headset.

So while trying to research this myself, here is what I have found so far:

http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/255330-bsod-whilst-gaming-error-ax0000001-5-0-0-0-a.html

They say that this is related to my video card but the suggestion is confusing. Should I do a thorough removal of all chipsets and drivers and try again?

Do you guys have any knowledge of this?

I can't help much with the error code but if you want to look at the dump file for more information on it try bluescreen view. If there is no dump file you may need to set windows to create one in the event of a crash (control panel -> system and security -> system -> advanced system settings -> startup and recovery settings.

I tried using CMD to figure things out but when I type C:\Program Files, it says c:\Program is not recognized as an internalor external command, operable program or batch file

I made a new post under Windows that is more complete because I just found out how to get the dmp info. So if a mod can kindly remove this post that would be great.
