Ugh Brutal News update mad.gif

The EK Rad... I was trying to screw in the screws, and went to deep and popped the line, I was hoping I didnt pierce the lining and only grazed it, but NOPE... I got two leaks on the rad, it's useless now madsmiley.png

Ugh I was so excited to have it done this weekend!! So I ordered immediately (because the EK rads are all out of stock at dazmode, and he doesnt have any more 140MM rads) I ordered from NCIX for local pickup in Ottawa the Black Ice SR1-140 Silent Revision 1 it should be in next week for pick up... I'm just bummed out cause A) thats $65 out the window because of my stupidity and rushing things and B) I dont get to put it together this weekend, kind of need that Rad.. I guess I can put it in last, but still will have to paint it and wait for that to dry for a day.

Oh well we live and learn, at least I had another Canadian option to get a 140mm Radiator sent to me as opposed to an american site that takes forever to cross the border boxing3.gif

Anyways I think I'll set everything up besides the Rad this weekend then just need to add that into the loop when it arrives.. Ugh so annoying frown.gif

The mobo with xspc block painted looks amazing!!

What's ur build log? Yeah I knew there was going to be an issue as soon as I hit it... Ugh luckily it's only a $65 rad and ncix is shipping for free and should be here Wednesday smile.gif so I'll have everything done just waiting on that item to paint (2days drying) then install and boot up!

I have most parts in right now and the rigid lighting strips are going to like the blue coolant and blue fans up so perfectly it's going to be amazing more pics to come this weekend wink.gif

Also I may have to use the 8x pcie slot instead of the 16x as it looks to cramped with the gpu so close to the cpu... I read that there is negligible difference between a single card in 16x vs 8x .... Can you confirm?

I wanted to do a build log but so many things went wrong, and i am terrible at taking pictures(even with a $400 camera). I am purchasing an amazing old super tower today and plan on upgrading to a 480mm rad. I will hopefully make a log then. There is a very small diffrense between 8x and 16x u will not notice at all.

Perfect yea I will use te 8x slot then, and the complications with watercooling are such that, almost 0 advantage besides aesthetics, your own hobbie and a TON of money into it. Nothing about water cooling (custom loop) is practical! literally nothing LOL

Yea Im using my iphone for pics... and these ones didnt turn out nearly as good as they should but I'm going to upload them anyways, I have a great Idea to mount the 1TB HDD on top of the DVD drive because there is room up there, but each component has to be put in place in a specific order for me to do that, I'm using every space available in this small case, even mounted the LED strips already and they are really going to bring out the blue liquid and white background

I'm going to borrow my sisters camera when I'm done putting it all together, I think I might see if I can put this up for MOM...

I tried to explain that it's a hobby/art form to my friends but they just don't understand. My friend insists i should have bought better parts instead of a costum loop. I dont have any regrets it looks completely badass. biggrin.gif

Yeah I try to tell my roommate that I spent probably 3x's as much as him and we probably have the same performance but its not about performance for me because I really dont play games that much, I just like to be creative and mod/build wink.gif

I got the first tube in, as well as the fans, I had to go grab another 120mm, originally I was going to fit 2x140mm at the top but there is no space because of the motherboard top, but the 12 looks fine next to the 140 wink.gif

Man I wish I had that rad here I could finish it up and start making the mayhems blue liquid.. These pictures such, its hard to get them focused with all the white it over saturates them.

The backplate looks amazing!
